I will never be the same again

Hello my dear friends, I’m back from my mission trip to Hungary, and I’m changed.  The last day I’ve been singing this praise and worship song, “I will never be the same again.”  It’s a Darlene Zsech song.  The words are:

I will never be the same again,
I can never return, I’ve closed the door.
I will walk apart, I’ll run the race
And I will never be the same again.

Fall like fire, soak like rain,
Flow like mighty waters, again and again.
Sweep away the darkness, burn away the chaff,
And let a flame burn to glorify Your name.

There are higher heights, there are deeper seas,
Whatever you need to do, Lord do in me.
The Glory of God fills my life,
And I will never be the same again.

Fall like fire, soak like rain,
Flow like mighty waters, again and again.
Sweep aways the darkness, burn away the chaff
And let a flame burn to glorify Your name.

I will never be the same again,
I can never return, I’ve closed the door.
I will walk the path, I will run the race
And I will never be the same again.
And I will never be the same again.
And I will never be the same again.

I just don’t think I could put into words how I am feeling better than this song.  My heart feels so full of joy and love for my God, a desire to reach the dieing, lost and hurting in a world that will one day come to an end, and just completely awe for what I see God doing in our lives and around the world.

Suddenly, I see more clearly why evangelism is so important and why I need to be reaching people with the gospel daily.  I often have said, “You know, my style is more relationship evangelism.”  And, it is, to a point.  But that is not an excuse to only talk about God and share the gospel once I’ve developed a good relationship with people.

We heard the statistic that on average people need to hear the gospel 7.6 times before they accept Christ.  Now I don’t know about you, but that’s a lot of times.  Maybe I won’t be number 7 ever, for all I know, but if I could be a 2 or a 5 for someone, wouldn’t that be glorious too on the day when God calls me home and I tell Him I ran the race for Him in a way to push the person to the next level?

So, I can’t wait to tell you all more about my trip, but right now I am so worn down and have jet lag from 22 hours of travel yesterday and a very full day today, that I must get some sleep.  Or, soon these words are really going to sounds like blah, blah, blahing!!

God Bless you my dear readers, and remember, Jesus said, “Come follow me, and I will make you fishers of men!”  How would you like to go fishing with me today!?!?
